Fall

In honor of Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving I am working on shirts for the boys.  Finished Brody's Harvest shirt for school and Levi's Halloween shirt.  I think they are so cute. 

Got Brody's Halloween shirt finished only to end up on the very last part the machine decides to mess up.  Alas, once again I have to do an entire other shirt.  I can not tell you how many times that has happened to me.  One of these days I am going to buy me a bigger and better embroidery machine. 

I was so surprised to come home and find both girls in the craft room busily working away on a couple of projects.  Kate even attempted the embroidery machine by herself and I just had to share their endeavors with you. 

Lindsey's pocket shirt really turned out cute.  It is always so much fun to get in the craft room with both the girls and work on this project or that project.  We have lots of fun.  The two of them are so talented when they want to be.

NEW BABY?

I find myself constantly working on a new baby set for this person or that person.  More times than I can count one of my daughters' friends is having a baby.  "Mom can you make me a gift for a baby shower?"!  Of course I am more than glad to do so.

 These are a few of the sets I have made along the way.  No, I did not post every pic of every set I have made.  Just a few to give you a taste.

 

History of Crafting

I started crafting about thirty years ago.  My husband and I married in 1980 while he was still in school.  Of course that meant we had little money and Christmas and birthdays were always a chore.  That my dear friends is why I started crafting.  I only wish looking back that I had pictures of all the crafts I made and attempted.  How cool would that be?  At least now since I own a smart phone and taking pics is so easy that I take pics of every new craft or ones I really like.  It's nice to have a blog to have a place to post them.  I know everyone on Facebook will be glad I have a different outlet now for my crafting obsession!

OH BABY!

Crochet has always been my first love of crafting!  The first time was in 1975 in middle school.  Boy it is nice to know I have improved since then and here are some of the baby hats I have enjoyed making.  How fun are these?  And how darn cute are these babies?

Through the years I began crafting other things and among those were baby things.  I love making things for all the new babies being born.  I just wish I had pics of the thousands of baby blankets I have crocheted.  Alas, at least I started saving some of the cute little sets I have made. 


Cute little dresses just like what I wore as a child.  I love them and really need to get back to making them since I have a grand-daughter now!

Baby Wipe cases became very popular for awhile and I just had to make them along with the burp cloths to go with them.  As always there are some great inspiration on Pinterest.  Like everyone else I jumped on the bandwagon and began making them.
